Terre d Orcia Hotel

Terre d'Orcia hotel first appeared on the main road which links the Val d'Orcia with the Maremma at the turn of the last century.
It is a location steeped in tradition and has always been a meeting place for travellers, merchants and huntsmen over the decades.
The Niccolini family has built a new hotel near the original site, which was inaugurated at Christmas 1974. The home style, rustic restaurant was opened the following year.

The new Terre d'Orcia Hotel stands at the top of a hill 500 meters above sea level, facing Monte Amiata, to the south of Montalcino.
Today the clientele is even more varied than ever with the addition of food and wine enthusiasts, art-lovers, pilgrims and nature-lovers, not only from Italy but also from abroad.
